With this milestone, India will now serve as Suzuki\u2019s global manufacturing hub for electric vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the \u2018<em>Make in India, Make for the World<\/em>\u2019 campaign, the fleet of electric vehicles that will be manufactured in India will be exported to almost 100 countries henceforth. India has the power of democracy, the advantage of demography and a very large pool of skilled workforce, making it a win-win situation for every partner.<\/p>\n<p>He further announced the commencement of Hybrid Battery Electrode manufacturing in the country, where the upcoming phase comprises of TDS Lithium-Ion Battery plant being installed in the state of Gujarat. The plant, a JV (joint venture) among Toshiba, Denso and Suzuki &#8211; will boost domestic manufacturing and clean energy innovation. This development ensures that more than eighty percent of the battery value will now be manufactured within India.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1149 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/newsraise.com\/in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Screenshot-2025-08-27-104614.jpg\" alt=\"Narendra Modi, India, Japan, EV, Maruti Suzuki, Trade Tariff, Make in India\" width=\"685\" height=\"778\" srcset=\"https:\/\/newsraise.com\/in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Screenshot-2025-08-27-104614.jpg 685w, https:\/\/newsraise.com\/in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Screenshot-2025-08-27-104614-264x300.jpg 264w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 685px) 100vw, 685px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Emphasizing that today also brings a new dimension to the friendship between India and Japan, the Prime Minister extended his heartfelt congratulations to all citizens of India, to Japan, and to Suzuki Motor Corporation. Expressing his heartfelt remembrance of the late Mr. Osamu Suzuki, the Prime Minister stated that the Government of India had the honour of conferring the Padma Vibhushan upon him. He remarked that he is pleased to witness the vast expansion of the vision Mr. Osamu Suzuki had envisioned for Maruti Suzuki India.<\/p>\n<p>Affirming that clean energy and clean mobility represent the future of India, Shri Modi emphasized that through such efforts, India is rapidly emerging as a reliable hub for clean energy and clean mobility.\u00a0In addition, as a country that faces the challenge of rare earth magnets in the auto industry, PM Modi announced the launch of \u2018National Critical Mineral Mission\u2019. Under this mission, over 1,200 exploratory campaigns will be conducted across various locations in India to identify critical minerals.<\/p>\n<p>Emphasizing the need to continue advancing in all key sectors in the coming years, the Prime Minister expressed confidence that today\u2019s efforts will elevate the foundation of a developed India by 2047.
