The device runs on the in‑house Exynos 2500 chipset and ships with Android 17 paired with the newly released One UI 9 skin. Samsung emphasizes a blend of high‑refresh‑rate display technology, advanced camera hardware and a suite of artificial‑intelligence‑driven software features, while also pledging a long‑term software support roadmap.

The Galaxy S26 FE will be sold in three colour options—Blueberry, Graphite and Pistachio—and will become available in selected markets starting on 4 September. In the United States the phone is priced at $699.99, while pricing for the Indian market will be disclosed closer to the launch date.

Design, Display and Core Performance

The handset measures 161.6 mm tall, 76.9 mm wide and 7.4 mm thick, and tips the scales at 193 grams. Its front is dominated by a 6.7‑inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel that can reach a peak brightness of 1,900 nits and supports a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, delivering smooth scrolling and responsive touch interactions. The display uses an AMOLED backplane, which Samsung markets as delivering deep blacks and vibrant colour reproduction.

Under the hood, the Exynos 2500 processor—built on a 3 nm process—powers the device. Samsung pairs the chipset with 8 GB of RAM and offers three internal storage capacities: 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB. The phone is protected by an IP68 rating, indicating resistance to dust and immersion in water up to a specified depth.

Power is supplied by a 4,900 mAh battery. Samsung claims that when paired with the supplied 45 W wired charger, the battery can reach roughly 69 percent capacity in about 30 minutes. In addition to fast wired charging, the device supports 15 W wireless charging and the Wireless PowerShare feature, allowing it to act as a charging pad for compatible accessories.

Connectivity options include 5G, LTE, Wi‑Fi 6E, Wi‑Fi Direct and Bluetooth 5.4, ensuring compatibility with the latest network and peripheral standards.

Camera System and Imaging Capabilities

The rear camera array comprises three lenses. The primary sensor captures 50 megapixels, an ultra‑wide lens adds a 12‑megapixel field of view, and an 8‑megapixel telephoto lens provides 3× optical zoom with the ability to extend to 30× digital zoom. A 12‑megapixel front‑facing camera handles selfies and video calls.

Samsung has equipped the S26 FE with several software enhancements aimed at improving image quality and flexibility. Nightography, the company’s low‑light photography mode, is carried over to the FE, promising brighter and clearer shots in dim environments. For video, the handset supports Super Steady with Horizontal Lock, a feature drawn from the flagship S26 line that stabilises footage while keeping the horizon level.

One of the standout AI‑driven tools is My FanCam, originally introduced on Samsung’s foldable devices. The feature can lock onto a selected person in a video frame and automatically re‑centre the subject as they move, simplifying hands‑free recording. Photo Assist allows users to edit images using natural‑language prompts, such as changing the time of day, adding objects or restoring missing elements, with the ability to review and undo each modification individually.

Gemini Omni, another AI addition, can generate and edit short video clips by analysing photos and videos stored in the device’s Gallery, offering a quick way to repurpose existing media.

Software Experience, AI Tools and Longevity

The Galaxy S26 FE ships with One UI 9, Samsung’s latest user interface that sits atop Android 17. This is the first S26‑series device to launch with the new UI version. Samsung highlights several integrated AI‑centric services. The Now Brief widget now supports customisable briefing cards that can display weather, wellness data and other personalised information, with the option for users to create their own cards via prompts.

Now Nudge, a contextual suggestion system, has been broadened to include selected third‑party applications and notifications, delivering recommendations based on device activity. Circle to Search, a visual search capability powered by Google, has been updated to recognise multiple items within a single image, facilitating identification of several products, objects or locations at once.

On the data‑migration front, Samsung has upgraded Smart Switch. Users moving from Android or iOS can scan a QR code to wirelessly transfer a comprehensive set of data—including passwords, passkeys, call logs, accessibility settings and eSIM information—directly to the new phone.

Support services are also expanded. Samsung Care+ is compatible with the S26 FE, and One UI 9 introduces a dedicated Warranty and Care hub where users can manage their Samsung Care+ subscription and other device‑support options.

New owners receive a six‑month complimentary trial of Google AI Pro, which bundles additional artificial‑intelligence features and 5 TB of cloud storage. Samsung lists the regular subscription price for the service at $19.99 per month.

Perhaps most notably for long‑term owners, Samsung commits to delivering up to seven generations of operating‑system upgrades and seven years of security patches for the Galaxy S26 FE. This mirrors the company’s broader strategy of extending software longevity across its flagship and mid‑range lines.

Overall, the Galaxy S26 FE positions itself as a feature‑rich option within the Fan Edition segment, marrying a high‑refresh‑rate AMOLED display, a versatile triple‑camera suite and a robust set of AI‑enhanced software tools, while offering a pricing structure that undercuts many premium competitors.

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S26 Fan Edition, featuring a 6.7‑inch 120 Hz AMOLED screen, Exynos 2500 processor, triple‑camera system and a suite of new AI‑driven software tools.

[299
1465,1651,1649,1650,1421,1382
post-1742","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","tag-android-17","tag-exynos-2500","tag-galaxy-s26-fe","tag-one-ui-9","tag-samsung","tag-smartphone","entry
["GET
