The flagship‑grade devices are built around a 50‑megapixel Ultra‑Wide Natural Selfie Camera with a 100° field of view, a feature OPPO markets as the “Group Selfie Expert” aimed at capturing larger groups without sacrificing image quality.

Group Selfie Expert and camera specifications

The centerpiece of the F35 Series is the 50MP Ultra‑Wide Natural Selfie Camera. It uses a 1/2.88‑inch sensor, an f/2.1 aperture and autofocus, delivering a 0.6× ultra‑wide lens that expands the perspective to include more people and background. An AI Auto Wide‑Angle Switch automatically selects the wider view when needed, while the broader field of view improves spatial depth and subject‑background separation, according to OPPO. The rear camera setup differs between the two models. The F35 Pro 5G adds a 50MP main sensor with a 1/2‑inch size, f/1.8 aperture, autofocus and optical image stabilization (OIS). It also includes an 8MP ultra‑wide rear lens, a new Portrait Mode with refined edge precision and natural depth transitions, and an Ultra‑Bright Dual Rear Flash that offers wider scene coverage and balanced illumination for low‑light shots.

The standard OPPO F35 5G retains a 50MP main rear sensor of the same 1/2‑inch size but with an f/1.9 aperture and autofocus, focusing on delivering high‑resolution stills without the additional ultra‑wide rear lens. Both models support 4K video recording on the front and rear cameras, with the Pro variant upgraded from 1080p to 4K. The Pro also introduces Dual‑View Video, allowing simultaneous capture from front and rear lenses, and AI Popout and AI Remix Collage tools for creative content generation. The F35 supports up to 2.5K video recording on both cameras.

Performance, battery and connectivity

Under the hood, the OPPO F35 Pro 5G is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7360 MAX chipset, fabricated on a 4nm process. OPPO claims a 30% increase in CPU multi‑core performance and a 35% boost in GPU performance over the previous generation Dimensity chip. The standard F35 5G runs on the Dimensity 6360 MAX, built on a 6nm process with an 8‑core architecture for smooth everyday tasks. Both devices incorporate a 5000mm² SuperCool VC System in the Pro model to improve heat dissipation during demanding usage.

Battery life is addressed with an 8000 mAh large‑capacity cell rated for six‑year durability, meaning the battery should retain over 80% of its original capacity after up to 1,800 charge cycles. Fast charging is enabled by an 80W SUPERVOOC™ Flash Charge system, delivering rapid top‑ups. Connectivity includes 5G++ support and AI LinkBoost 4.0, which OPOP says helps maintain stable network performance in weak‑signal environments.

Design, durability and software experience

Design cues draw on nature‑inspired textures. The OPPO F35 Pro is offered in Sunrise Orange, Wave Blue and Twilight Brown, while the OPPO F35 comes in Wave Blue, Titanium Grey and Mist Pink. Sunrise Orange features a light‑storm texture, Wave Blue showcases a Dynamic 3D Wave texture, and the Pro model incorporates a Smile Curve Design with a one‑piece cold‑carved body, a Starry Sea lens module and an all‑metal camera ring.

Durability is reinforced through multiple IP ratings – IP69K, IP69, IP68 and IP66 – providing water and dust resistance suitable for rain, splashes and even underwater photography. Additional features such as Rainstorm Touch maintain responsive touch control when wet, and Military‑Grade Shock Resistance protects against accidental drops.

Both phones run ColorOS 16, which adds AI‑powered tools for productivity and creativity. Features include AI Recording for organizing key information, AI Ultra‑Clear Documents for sharpening text and extracting content, AI Call Guard to detect synthetic voices and faces, and One‑Tap Security Guard for real‑time fraud alerts. The software stack introduces the Trinity Engine with Parallel Loading and Adaptive Scheduling Architecture to optimise system resources, a Luminous Rendering Engine with Seamless Animation on the Pro model, and ColorOS Smoothness Boost for periodic OTA updates that maintain responsiveness. Extended Use Care 2.0 manages system fragments and memory, while six‑year smoothness protection aims to keep the experience consistent over time.

Display, pricing and availability

The OPPO F35 Pro 5G sports a 17.22 cm (6.78‑inch) 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of up to 3600 nits, full‑screen brightness of 1800 nits and 2160 Hz PWM dimming.
