In addition, the studio‑driven shooter ARC Raiders will be available for free to anyone with an Xbox account, regardless of subscription status. The event also bundles limited‑time price cuts on multiple games, allowing players to keep their progress and achievements after the trial period ends.

Games Available for Free Play

Six titles are part of the free‑play lineup for Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and Essential subscribers. Screamer offers an arcade‑racing experience that blends high‑speed competition with combat mechanics and a narrative focused on personal vendettas. Family Man is a dark, story‑driven role‑playing game that asks players to weigh moral choices against the needs of a struggling household.

Four additional games are offered as timed trials that any Xbox player can try, even without a Game Pass subscription. High On Life 2 continues the sci‑fi adventure of its predecessor, pitting the player against an intergalactic conspiracy that threatens humanity. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl drops players into the radioactive Anomalous Zone, where they must navigate mutants, anomalies and rival scavengers. Little Nightmares III returns with a haunting puzzle‑platform experience that explores childhood fears within a twisted, atmospheric world. Finally, Rogue Waters delivers a tactical, turn‑based rogue‑lite adventure in which players command Captain Cutter and a crew of pirates through procedurally generated sea battles.

ARC Raiders, the multiplayer looter‑shooter set in a post‑apocalyptic wasteland, is also part of the weekend’s lineup. While the other titles require a Game Pass tier for free access, ARC Raiders can be downloaded and played by any Xbox user from October 8 through October 11, with no subscription needed.

Discounts and Purchase Options

Beyond the free‑play window, Xbox is offering steep discounts on several of the featured games. During the promotion, the Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition of Screamer are discounted by 60 percent, allowing players to retain their Gamerscore and achievements after the trial ends. Family Man is marketed at an 85 percent discount, positioning it as a budget‑friendly option for fans of narrative RPGs.

ARC Raiders also receives a price cut that runs from October 8 through October 15. The base game, its Deluxe Edition, and the upgrade to the Deluxe Edition are all listed at 50 percent off, providing an incentive for new players to join the community after the free weekend.

For the timed‑trial titles, Xbox is pairing the free experience with a separate discount for those who wish to purchase the full game. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is offered at a 30 percent reduction after the trial, while Rogue Waters can be bought at a 75 percent discount. The promotional material does not specify a discount for High On Life 2 or Little Nightmares III, but it notes that discount percentages and availability may vary by region and title.

How to Access the Offers

Players interested in the Free Play Days must first locate each game’s detail page on the official Xbox website. Selecting a title redirects users to the Microsoft Store, where they need to be signed in with an Xbox account to see the “install with Game Pass” option if they hold an eligible subscription. Console users can also navigate to the Subscriptions tab within the Xbox Store app, scroll down to the Free Play Days collection, and initiate the download from there.

For ARC Raiders, the process is simplified: any logged‑in Xbox user can download the game directly from the store without a Game Pass tier. The promotion’s instructions emphasize that the free trials are time‑bound, meaning the games will become inaccessible after the October 11 deadline unless the player purchases the full version.

Xbox advises that discounts, percentages, and title availability are subject to change based on regional licensing and other factors. Players who take advantage of the discounts are encouraged to complete their purchase before the promotion ends to lock in the reduced price.

Overall, the Free Play Days event aims to attract new players to Xbox’s ecosystem, showcase upcoming updates—such as the “Frozen Trail” expansion for ARC Raiders and the Update 2.0 performance boost for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2—and encourage conversion from trial to full purchase through significant price incentives.

From October 8 to 11, Xbox Game Pass members can play six games for free and all Xbox users can try ARC Raiders, while discounts of up to 85% are available on purchases.

[299
2791,2416,2417,2859,2858,1772
post-2598","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","tag-arc-raiders","tag-free-play-days","tag-game-pass","tag-gaming-discounts","tag-s-t-a-l-k-e-r-2","tag-xbox","entry
["GET
