It functions under the Department of Revenue of the Ministry of Finance. It is also used for issuing notices, queries, and getting citizens\u2019 responses and also for releasing assessments, appeals, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>What is the current domain name of the Income Tax Department?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The current website of the Income Tax Department is <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. But as per recent updates from the Income Tax Department\u2019s official Twitter account wherein, they have tweeted about the new website of the Income Tax Department on June 7 which will be having more features and easier accessibility to the taxpayers. This news is one of the good news from the Indian government\u2019s side for the honest taxpayers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Important points to be kept in mind by the taxpayers is that e- filing services on the current website of the Income Tax will not be available for 6 days from June 1, 2021, to June 6, 2021, before the launch of the website on JUNE 7, 2021. The new portal e- filing 2.0 apart from facilitating income tax returns, this new portal (2.0) will also be available on the taxpayers&#8217; mobile phones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Like many other government departments and Ministries are having their own mobile apps, the Income Tax Department will also get its new mobile app on June 7th. The new website is designed to make its services simplified and highly user-friendly for its users. The Department has requested the taxpayers and other people who want to avail services of the Department before June 1st as the current website will be replaced with the new website.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>What is the domain of the new portal that will be launched by the Income Tax Department? When it will be launched?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new <a href=\"https:\/\/newsraise.com\/in\/2021\/05\/31\/how-to-download-e-pan-online\/\">e- filing portal<\/a> of the Income Tax department will be <\/span><b>incometax.gov.in. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0The officials of the Department further stated that the new app of the Income Tax Department which is to be released on June 7th will be containing user manuals and other guidance videos for the taxpayers to guide about the procedure for making IT returns and there will be multiple options for on- portal tax payments. The details of the taxpayers will be filled in automatically as it was in the old portal and in older e- filing returns.
