Verizon is Offering 12 Free Months of Disney+ to Customers

With the launch of Disney+ getting near, the streaming service market is going to face one of the biggest-in-history markets. If you are concerned about the extra money you have to spend per month for availing this content, there is some solace. According to the latest reports, Verizon has decided to get twelve free months of Disney+ to its users. All the existing customers of Verizon 4gLTE and 5G Unlimited would be receiving this perk at an immediate basis. This seems to the next big step in the world of telecom-media deals.

It should be noted that the Verizon Group could be the only telecom-based company without firm offerings in terms of media consumption. That could be one of the reasons why Disney+ and Verizon decided to give this collaboration a tie. Through this, Verizon would be able to retain its customers and Disney+ would see an important number of subscribers from the very beginning. How many of these free subscribers would be willing to pay for the Disney+ service once the free offer is over is another question, but, even then, the deal makes a lot of sense.

“Giving Verizon customers an unprecedented offer and access to Disney+ on the platform of their choice is yet another example of our commitment to provide the best premium content available through key partnerships on behalf of our customers. Our work with Disney extends beyond Disney+ as we bring the power of 5G Ultra-Wideband technology to the entertainment industry through exciting initiatives with Disney Innovation Studios and in the parks,” Hans Vestverg, the chairman and CEO of Verizon, was quoted saying in a statement.

It should be noted that the Disney+ access would let Verizon customers everything as well as anything that Disney+ produces.
