Charged With 2nd Degree Murder, Hurricane Chris Speaks about it

Hurricane Chris was recently released on bond after being charged with second-degree murder following a shooting incident at a Texaco gas station in Shreveport, LA. Chris spoke out about ordeal for the first time since his arrest and subsequent release. The “A Bay Bay,” rapper asked for prayers for the family of the decedent as well as his during this difficult time and insisted that he will be proven innocent when the facts are laid out. 

According to reports, rapper Hurricane Chris was released on bond after his arrest on Friday for second-degree murder. Jail documents show that Hurricane Chris was released on Sunday, June 21. The 31-year-old is facing charges of one second-degree murder count and one count of Illegal possession of stolen things.

Rapper Hurricane Chris, known best for his hit song “A Bay Bay,” was arrested for murder in Louisiana. According to TMZ, Hurricane Chris, real name Chris Dooley, was booked for second-degree murder after cops say he shot and killed a man early Friday morning at a Texaco gas station in Shreveport, Louisiana. 

Chris reportedly told Shreveport officers that he shot the man because he was trying to steal his car. However, police say that surveillance footage proved otherwise, leading to the rapper’s arrest. The car Chris was riding in was also reported stolen out of Texas, leading to a charge of illegal possession of stolen things.
