Samsung has rolled out a new software update for its Galaxy Z Fold 7 foldable smartphone, introducing two significant Galaxy AI features that were previously anticipated with the One UI 8.5 update. The update, which also includes the June 2026 security patch addressing 45 security vulnerabilities, brings Priority Notifications and Files Summaries to the device.
New AI Capabilities Arrive
Priority Notifications is designed to intelligently analyze incoming alerts, surfacing the most important ones at the top of the notification list. This feature aims to help users better notice critical information and avoid missing essential alerts.
Complementing this is the Files Summaries feature. This AI tool provides concise descriptions for PDF and TXT files, enabling users to quickly grasp the content of documents and manage them more efficiently without needing to open each file.
Rollout Status
The software update containing these new AI functionalities has initially been released in South Korea, Samsung’s home country. Based on Samsung’s typical rollout patterns for software updates, it is expected that the firmware will become available in other regions in the coming days.
Users can check for the update’s availability in their specific region by navigating to Settings, then Software update, and selecting Download and install.
