Destiny 2 Players Discover Efficient Method for Farming New Armor Sets

Destiny 2 players have identified a swift and effective method for acquiring the game’s new and revamped armor sets, which were introduced with the recent Monument of Triumph update. This update, launched less than a week ago, has reportedly revitalized the Bungie looter-shooter, significantly boosting player engagement.

Lost Sectors Offer Tier 5 Armor Drops

According to content creator Duddits 2, the game now provides a streamlined approach to obtaining these Tier 5 armor sets. The primary method involves farming Destiny 2’s Lost Sectors, which can be completed quickly, often within minutes, depending on the daily rotation. These activities consistently reward players with Tier 5 weapons and armor.

While Lost Sectors are effective for acquiring location-specific armor sets, some sets remain exclusive to other activities such as Raids, Dungeons, Crucible, and Vanguard Ops. To utilize this farming method for destination armor, players must set the Lost Sectors to Master difficulty. The farming can be done either solo or in fireteams of up to three players.

The specific destination armor sets obtainable through Lost Sectors include:

  • Wildwood set — EDZ Lost Sectors
  • Seventh Seraph set — Cosmodrome Lost Sectors
  • Exodus Down set — Nessus Lost Sectors
  • Reverie Dawn set — Dreaming City Lost Sectors
  • Dreambane set — Moon Lost Sectors
  • Crystocrene set — Europa Lost Sectors
  • Veritas set — Savathun’s Throne World Lost Sectors
  • Thunderhead set — Neomuna Lost Sectors
  • First Ascent set — Pale Heart Lost Sectors

Some sets, like those for Kepler and the Lawless Frontier, can only be obtained through direct gameplay within their respective locations. For the Lustrous set, players can purchase Solstice Armor using Legendary Marks at the Tenet of Bravery sculpture. Additionally, the vendor Xur is currently located in the Tower’s Bazaar and offers the Swordmaster armor set.

Update Boosts Player Numbers and Meta Changes

The Monument of Triumph update has been well-received, with concurrent player numbers on Steam reportedly surpassing previous launches. The update introduced a significant number of new additions and quality-of-life improvements, described as a “love letter to all fans.” The new armor set bonuses and Exotic catalysts are noted as major highlights, substantially altering the game’s meta and build possibilities.

Despite the current success and player support, this update is reportedly the final one for Destiny 2, barring any unforeseen changes driven by player demand. A petition for a continuation of the franchise, Destiny 3, has gathered close to 400,000 signatures, indicating strong community desire for a successor.
