Apple is expected to launch around 20 new products across the remainder of 2026 and through 2027, according to reports. These anticipated releases span iPhones, Apple Watches, iPads, Macs, and home devices, many of which may integrate enhanced AI capabilities following the beta release of a more intelligent Siri.
New Devices and Updates Expected
Beyond the typical annual iPhone and Apple Watch updates slated for September, Apple’s roadmap includes an all-new smart home hub, potentially arriving this year. Other significant expected releases include a foldable iPhone Ultra and updated versions of the Apple TV and HomePod mini. Furthermore, a redesigned MacBook Ultra featuring an OLED display is anticipated by early 2027.
iPhone Lineup Expansion
The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are rumored to feature the A20 Pro chip, a smaller Dynamic Island, a simplified Camera Control button, and a Dark Cherry color option. At least one rear camera may include variable aperture, and the devices could support 5G web browsing via satellite using Apple’s C2 modem. A significant addition could be the foldable iPhone Ultra, reportedly equipped with a 7.7-inch internal display and a 5.3-inch external display. This model might incorporate Touch ID in the power button instead of Face ID and is expected to run a version of iOS 27 tailored for multitasking, similar to iPad functionality. The iPhone Air 2 is also anticipated to gain an Ultra Wide camera, an A20 chip, and improved battery life. The 20th-anniversary iPhone models, the iPhone 20 Pro and Pro Max, are speculated to feature nearly edge-to-edge displays with curved glass.
Wearables and Computing Upgrades
For the Apple Watch, the Series 12 and Ultra 4 models are expected to receive faster S11 chips or newer, alongside potential design changes and additional health sensors, though these health sensor updates are disputed. Future Apple Watch Ultra models might also gain satellite features for Apple Maps and Messages. The iPad lineup could see the iPad 12 upgraded to an A18 or A19 chip with Apple Intelligence support, while the iPad mini might receive an A19 Pro or A20 Pro chip, an OLED display, and a water-resistant design. Mac users can anticipate Mac Studio and Mac mini models with M5 Max/Ultra and M5/M5 Pro chips, respectively. The iMac is expected to be updated with an M5 chip and new color options. A major redesign of the MacBook Ultra is planned for late 2026 or early 2027, potentially featuring M6 Pro and M6 Max chips, an OLED touchscreen, a Dynamic Island, and a thinner profile, with macOS 27 possibly offering a touch-friendly interface.
Home Products and Peripherals
The Apple TV is slated for an upgrade with an A17 Pro chip supporting the new Siri, and Apple’s N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7. A future model might include a FaceTime camera. The HomePod mini is expected to get an S9 chip or newer, Wi-Fi 7 support via the N1 chip, enhanced sound, and a second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, possibly in new colors. A new full-sized HomePod is also in development. Apple’s new smart home hub is anticipated to feature the personalized Siri, a 6- to 7-inch display, an A18 chip for Apple Intelligence, and FaceTime capabilities, designed for tabletop or wall mounting. Additionally, AirPods Ultra with cameras for AI and visual intelligence features are rumored, alongside plans for smart glasses with custom frames and oval-shaped cameras.
