External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on October 27 to discuss strengthening India-US bilateral relations, regional developments, and global issues. <\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit<\/strong> being hosted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia<\/strong>.\u00a0The talks come at a crucial time, as India and the United States are reportedly in the final stages of negotiating a bilateral trade agreement, which officials say is very close<\/em><\/strong> to conclusion. So far, five rounds of negotiations have been completed for the first phase of this long-awaited deal.<\/p>\n
