The incumbent US President Donald Trump<\/a> has been creating headlines and shocking news-waves ever since he took charge and assumed responsibility of the world\u2019s most powerful economy and biggest superpower. The United States leader has a signed a controversial order which bars the entry to citizens from 12 different countries citing national security and concerns over visa overstays.<\/p>\n

The ban affects the listed nations, which includes \u2018full\u2019<\/em><\/strong> restriction on the below 12 countries,<\/p>\n

    As per the official proclamation, the entry of nationals of Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela will be partially restricted. The US Republican government<\/a> aims to actively control any immigrant activity and limit the entry. This apparent move echoes Trump\u2019s previous travel bans, and could possibly affect families, disrupt communities, harm people and disproportionately affect immigrants from marginalized sections.<\/p>\n

The new order also contains details on visa restrictions for foreign students. Donald Trump has signed a sweeping order banning travel from 12 countries and restricting travel from seven others, reviving and expanding the travel bans from his first term.<\/p>\n

    The US President<\/a> stated that he \u201cconsidered foreign policy, national security, and counterterrorism goals<\/em>\u201d in deciding the scope of the ban. Donald Trump<\/a> had initiated the ban in an\u00a0executive order\u00a0signed on 20 January, 202, on his first day in the White House as the 47th<\/sup> President and instructed his administration to submit a list of candidates for a potential ban by 21 March 2025.<\/p>\n
