Rockstar Games has confirmed that French electronic duo Justice is responsible for the original score of the upcoming title Grand Theft Auto VI. The announcement comes alongside the duo’s own preview of their contribution to the game’s expansive soundtrack.
Justice Takes the Helm
Justice, known for their high‑energy electronic productions, shared a track titled “Flower in a Hurricane.” The song brings together a “bonkers trifecta” of guest artists: Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. Snippets of the collaborative piece appear in the new GTA VI launch trailer that Rockstar released.
The partnership follows Justice’s most recent album, Hyperdrama, released in 2024. One of that album’s tracks, “Neverender,” also featured Tame Impala and earned the duo a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Recording in 2025. With that accolade behind them, Justice now steps into the role previously held by a varied roster of musicians on the series’ last original score.
Building the GTA VI Soundtrack
The previous Grand Theft Auto score, released in 2013, was a collaborative effort that involved the Alchemist, Tangerine Dream, Woody Jackson and Oh No, with mixing and synchronization handled by DJ Shadow. Justice’s involvement marks a shift toward a single primary composer for the core score, while the broader soundtrack continues to feature a wide array of artists.
Rockstar has indicated that the full GTA VI soundtrack will comprise 34 tracks. The company is rolling out selections gradually ahead of the game’s official launch on November 19. To date, nine songs have been released, featuring contributions from Yung Lean, Travis Scott and Cardi B among others.
In addition to the original score, the game will host an extensive in‑game radio network. Last week Rockstar revealed the DJs who will host several of these stations, and the lineup includes future slots for Bad Bunny’s Cocoteo FM, Robyn’s Flash FM and Lana Del Rey’s Back Country Radio. These stations will allow players to tune into curated playlists that complement the game’s open‑world environment.
Radio Stations and Upcoming Releases
The gradual release strategy gives fans early access to the musical atmosphere of GTA VI while building anticipation for the full launch. By showcasing tracks from high‑profile artists and unveiling radio personalities, Rockstar aims to deepen the immersive experience that the series is known for.
Fans of Justice can revisit Philip Sherburne’s review of the duo’s Hyperdrama album for additional context on the group’s recent creative direction. As the November release approaches, further details about the soundtrack and additional radio stations are expected to be disclosed.
Overall, the partnership between Rockstar Games and Justice underscores the importance of music in shaping the narrative and mood of Grand Theft Auto VI. With a Grammy‑winning composer at the helm and a diverse roster of contributing artists, the soundtrack is positioned to become a defining element of the game’s launch.
