These rules will be changed in this government bank from today onwards, change your cheque book and passbook quickly to avoid any problems.

If you are a customer with Allahabad Bank then this is very much vital information for you. From February 15 onward, Allahabad Bank has updated or changed all its IFSC codes so, update your passbook and Cheque book accordingly with the new IFSC codes. Also, if you are willing to do any transaction on the web, make sure to use the updated IFSC code.

The bank has tweeted out this latest update and wishes to take all the necessary steps to make the news aware to all its customers. As a matter of fact, Allahabad Bank has recently converged with the Indian Bank, because of which the IFSC codes have changed from today. Your old codes won’t work from now into the foreseeable future.

Indian Bank has given notice about this on its authority Twitter handle. The bank has written in the tweet that thank you for your support during the merger of Allahabad Bank with Indian Bank. We request you to take note of the important changes effective from 15 February 2021. Will help us serve you better.

To check your updated IFSC code, you can visit www.indianbank.in/amalgamation tab to get new IFSC code.

If you want to know your new IFSC code using SMS then you can send an SMS in the format – IFSC <Space> <OLD IFSC > SMS to 9266801962 from your registered mobile number with the format. Apart from this, the bank has suggested to customers that they should use only IFSC code of Indian Bank for payment (RTGS, NEFT and IMPS) starting from 15 February 2021 and beyond.

Apart from this, the bank said that there are going to be 4 changes from today which is a very important news for you to know. The bank stated in a tweet to all its customers – “Dear customer, thank you for your support during the merger. Note the major changes for the customers of the erstwhile Allahabad Bank from 15 February 2021” –

  1. There has been a change in the IFSC Code of the e-Allahabad Bank.
  2. Mobile banking app ’emPower’ has now become ‘IndOASIS’.
  3. Net banking
  4. Check book and passbook
