Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PM Awas Yojana) is a government-launched scheme in India, which aims to provide affordable homes to people in urban and rural areas. Under this, CLSS or credit linked subsidy is given to first time home buyers. This subsidy can be up to a maximum of Rs 2.67 lakh. This is a sponsored scheme by the central government. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PM Awas Yojana) was started in the year 2015. The goal of the central government is that by the year 2022, everyone should get a home. Under this scheme, along with property owners, people with no property and living in slums can also take advantage.
Eligibility for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana:
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS): Annual income up to Rs 3 lakh
- Low Income Group (LIG): Annual income from 3 lakh to 6 lakh rupees
- Middle Income Group I (MIG I): Annual income from 6 lakh to 12 lakh rupees.
- Middle Income Group II (MIG II): Annual income from 12 lakh to 18 lakhs
How to Avail the Scheme:
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Rural Scheme, there is an arrangement of giving monetary help to those villagers who didn’t have their own homes. The central government has made a versatile based lodging application to stretch out this plan to the residents. You can easily download this application from the Google Play Store.
After downloading this app, create login-password in it with the help of your mobile number. After creating login-password, this app will send a one-time password to your registered mobile number. With the help of this, after you login, fill all the necessary details and the you can apply. After applying to get a house under PMAY-G, the central government elects the beneficiaries. After this, the final list of the beneficiaries is put on the PMAY-G website.
How to check you Status Online:
- You can also check your status online under PM Awas Yojana.
- For online tracking, first you have to visit the official portal of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
- After this you have to click on Citizen Assessment.
- After that, clicking on Track Your Assessment Status will open a new page.
- Enter your registration number in it.
- Also, you click on any of the By Name, Father Name, Mobile No.
- In your selected option, you have to enter your state, city, district, your, father’s name and mobile number.
- Submitting this will bring the status of the application.
