This two-term old format structure has brought renewed relevance and global excitement to the Test arena, turning every match into an exciting contest as a step towards the coveted world champion title. This year, the winner of the WTC Final 2025 shall receive a whooping prize money of 3.6 million US Dollars, which is significantly twice the amount offered in the previous. The runner up will receive, 2.16 million US Dollars, which is also a massive sum in its own right. The penultimate match of the series will be played at Lord’s in London, set to commence from 11th June 2025.

In the previous two editions of the World Test Championship, the ICC organized zenith event, the 2021 final was claimed by the Kiwis, New Zealand and the 2023 victory went in the favour of Australia, making them the defending champions for the current cycle.
