New Gadgets Unveiled This Week: Oppo Pad Mini, BenQ 4K Monitor and More

This week’s product announcements span a wide price spectrum, from Bluetooth‑enabled sunglasses priced under a thousand rupees to a professional‑grade 4K monitor costing nearly one‑and‑half lakh. Major launches include Oppo’s first compact tablet for the Indian market, a high‑end colour‑grading monitor from BenQ, new autofocus studio cameras from Panasonic, and a variety of audio and power accessories from U&I and UltraProlink.

Oppo expands its lineup with a mini tablet and premium earbuds

The Chinese smartphone maker introduced the Oppo Pad Mini, an 8.8‑inch tablet that aims to balance performance with portability. Weighing 282 g and measuring just 5.46 mm thick, the device is positioned as a lightweight option for on‑the‑go productivity and media consumption. Its display uses a 2.5K OLED panel with a 92.5 % screen‑to‑body ratio, a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. A nano‑texture matte coating reduces glare, and the screen carries TUV Rheinland eye‑comfort certification.

Under the hood, the Pad Mini is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and is paired with an 8,000 mAh battery that supports 67 W fast charging. Oppo claims a ten‑minute charge can deliver roughly four hours of video playback. The tablet also supports cross‑device collaboration through O+ Connect, enabling file transfers and screen sharing across iOS, Android and Windows platforms. Compatibility with the Oppo Pencil 3 Pro adds stylus functionality, including AI Smart Circle, Screen‑Off Quick Notes and Doodle to Art features. The configuration with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage is listed at Rs 94,999.

Alongside the tablet, Oppo launched the Enco X4 true‑wireless earbuds, co‑developed with Danish audio firm Dynaudio. The earbuds incorporate a fourth‑generation coaxial dual‑driver system that pairs an 11 mm dynamic woofer with a 6 mm planar tweeter, and they employ an independent dual‑DAC architecture. Audio capabilities include LHDC lossless transmission, five Dynaudio Master Tuning presets and spatial audio processing. Adaptive active noise cancellation adjusts to the surrounding environment, while redesigned ear tips aim for a secure fit.

Beyond sound, the Enco X4 offers AI‑driven real‑time translation in 24 languages, hands‑free access to Google Gemini, AI Clear Call and Conversation Awareness that modulates music when the user speaks. Health‑related functions comprise neck‑posture monitoring and sleep tracking, and the earbuds can serve as external microphones for recordings. Battery life reaches up to 53 hours across both earbuds and charging case, and the units carry an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. They are available in Aurora Violet and Glacier White for Rs 19,999.

BenQ’s colour‑grading monitor and Panasonic’s autofocus studio cameras

BenQ entered the Indian market with the Creative Pro PV3250U, a 31.5‑inch 4K UHD monitor built for colourists and video editors. The panel features AQCOLOR technology, a native contrast ratio of 3,000 : 1 and gamma 2.4 tuning to preserve shadow detail in Rec.709 workflows. Colour coverage includes 99 % of the DCI‑P3 gamut and the full Rec.709 range, while a 120 Hz refresh rate delivers smoother motion. HDR support spans HDR10, HLG and DisplayHDR 600. Connectivity highlights a Thunderbolt 4 port capable of delivering up to 96 W of power, and a magnetic hood reduces glare. A Wireless Hotkey Puck G4 provides remote control of monitor functions. The monitor’s manufacturer‑suggested retail price is Rs 1,99,00, but it is being sold to end customers for Rs 1,48,998 this month. BenQ also hinted at a forthcoming 27‑inch PV2750U model.

Panasonic announced two new 4K cameras at Broadcast India 2026, targeting professional broadcast and multi‑purpose applications. It houses a 19.29‑megapixel MOS sensor, supports HDR HLG and BT.2020, and can record at up to double speed in 4K or quadruple speed in HD. Operators can adjust the focus area, fine‑tune manually and use on‑screen focus guides.

The companion AK‑UBX100 is a compact 4K multi‑purpose camera weighing approximately 1.9 kg, suited for robotic rigs, cranes and gimbals. Both models support IP‑based video workflows, including SMPTE ST 2110, NDI High Bandwidth and SRT, and each provides dual 12G‑SDI outputs. The launch underscores Panasonic’s push to bring autofocus capabilities to high‑end broadcast equipment.
