The RailOne app, latest feature rolled out by Indian Railways will consolidate all passenger services into a single platform. Check out the key features.
The Union Railway Ministry, spearheaded by Ashwini Vaishnaw launched its most recent offering – RailOne App, which offers a user-friendly experience with single sign-on capabilities.
For the last decade, Railways has been continually on the move to take steps that improve passenger amenities. By introducing new generation trains, redeveloping stations, upgrading old coaches to new variety of LHB coaches, food & beverage quality upgradation and many more such steps, they have tried to improve passenger experience as much as one can.
The new app, RailOne was launched with a celebrated media event in New Delhi on the 40th Foundation Day of Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS). The main intention of RailOne is to improve the passenger interface with railways. It is a comprehensive, all-in-one application with a user-friendly integrated interface.
How to Use the RailOne App:
- The app is available for download on Android Play Store and iOS App Store. It integrates all the passenger services into one.
- Login using the USER ID, set up a mPIN or biometric authentication details.
- Link with your Aadhar and complete the syncing process.
- Explore and use the app features.
List of Services Offered by the RailOne App
- Unreserved UTS Tickets via R-Wallet to get 3% discount. UTS is a mobile ticketing application which allows the daily train travellers to book unreserved tickets of Indian Railways.
- Live train tracking – Train status can be checked real-time by passengers
- Grievance Redressal – Any complaints or service quality related feedback can be shared
- Checking PNR status
- Booking platform tickets
- Placing meal order for train journey
- E-catering, porter booking & Last-mile Taxi
- RailOne app has also been authorized by IRCTC just like many other commercial apps who have partnered with IRCTC.
- The app features a single-sign-on with login via mPIN or biometric. It also supports existing RailConnect & UTS credentials. The app is space-saving, as there is no need to install multiple apps.
Modern Passenger Reservation System (PRS) by December 2025
- The Minister commended the CRIS team for the progress made on upgrading the existing PRS – Passenger Reservation System. The modern PRS will be highly digitalized, multilingual, and capable of handling up to 10x times the current load. It will be capable of managing 1.5 lakh ticket bookings and 40 lakh enquiries per minute.
- The new PRS will be inclusive – will have advanced functionalities for seat choice and fare calendar, along with integrated options for Divyangjan (elderly), students, and patients too.
