2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee Returns With 600 HP and Track‑Focused Upgrades

Dodge has revived the Super Bee moniker for the 2027 model year, unveiling a Charger that produces 600 horsepower and 531 pound‑feet of torque. The power comes from a revised twin‑turbocharged 3.0‑liter inline‑six engine that incorporates larger 56‑mm Garrett Motion turbochargers, delivering 7.5 % more airflow than the previous version. An eight‑speed automatic transmission sends the output to an all‑wheel‑drive system that can be switched to rear‑wheel‑drive on demand, allowing drivers to route 100 % of torque to the rear wheels via a steering‑wheel switch.

Powertrain and Performance

The upgraded engine reaches peak torque earlier, beginning at 3,000 rpm and sustaining it through 5,900 rpm. Official performance figures list a 0‑60 mph time of 3.6 seconds and an 11.8‑second quarter‑mile run. The car rides on 20‑inch forged wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires sized 305/35ZR20. Braking is handled by 16‑inch Brembo units with six‑piston front and four‑piston rear fixed calipers, providing strong stopping power for track use.

Enhanced Cooling, Aerodynamics and Handling

Dodge has overhauled the Charger’s thermal management for the Super Bee. The high‑temperature radiator’s capacity is up more than 50 %, while the low‑temperature circuit has more than doubled its flow capability. The front fascia, featuring a reworked headlight design, increases airflow by 30 % and generates over 100 pounds of downforce at 150 mph. Auxiliary radiators are hidden within the fascia, and additional ductwork supports the larger cooling hardware.

Suspension upgrades include Continuous Damping Control (CDC) dual‑valve adaptive dampers, front tension‑link bushings that are 25 % stiffer, and handling‑link bushings 50 % stiffer to curb understeer. Spring rates rise 12 % at the front and 6 % at the rear, while the rear stabilizer bar is 20 % stiffer. New drive modes—Track Mode and Drag Mode—adjust rebound, compression, traction and stability settings, and a revised Torque Reserve system improves launch control by managing airflow and ignition timing during clutch‑less starts.

Interior and Exterior Details

Inside, the Super Bee Launch Edition receives uniquely branded seats, a leather performance steering wheel with an integrated rear‑wheel‑drive button, and enlarged paddle shifters. The instrument panel bears a special badge, and the Race Prep feature keeps the electric cooling fan running after engine shut‑off to aid heat dissipation.

Exterior options include a new yellow‑green “SuckerPunch” paint, a “Shady” shade, and a Diamond Black finish with SuckerPunch‑accented spoiler and fascia. Unique graphics and a fresh Super Bee logo differentiate the model from standard Chargers.

Dodge has indicated that pricing, ordering details and availability for the 2027 Charger Super Bee will be announced later in the year.
