Link your Aadhaar to your SBI Account ASAP. Follow these simple steps

In order to avail government subsidy directly in the State Bank of India (SBI) savings account, it is necessary to be linked to Aadhaar. Do you have a savings account with State Bank of India? If you have not linked it to Aadhaar yet, now you can easily do this work. We are telling you how to do this.

The Supreme Court of India has administered that it isn’t obligatory to link your bank account with your Aadhaar card. But the government has made it mandatory to link you Aadhaar card to your bank account to avail all the subsidy. There are a few alternatives through which SBI account holders can link their account with Aadhaar.

There are four ways to link SBI’s savings account to Aadhaar. With the help of internet banking with the help of ATM, going to SBI branch with the help of Yono SBI app.

Through SBI Online Internet Banking:

  • If you use the Net Banking facility of State Bank, then you log on to the SBI website. 
  • In the My Account tab, you will get the option to link your Aadhaar number. 
  • By clicking on it, you will go to another page.
  • Here you have to enter account number and Aadhaar number. After entering all the information, you have to click on submit button. On this screen you will see the last two digits of the registered mobile number from Aadhaar. When you put OTP on your mobile, then the process of linking the bank account from Aadhaar will be completed.

Through SBI ATM:

  • First you go to any ATM of SBI. Insert your debit card in the ATM machine. 
  • Then select the language. 
  • Then enter your PIN number. 
  • After this, click on the Services tab of SBI. 
  • Choose the service registration option in it. 
  • After this, click on the Aadhaar Registration tab. You can also choose the Aadhaar inquiry according to your need.

Through SBI Branch:

  • If you want to go to the State Bank branch and link your Aadhaar to your account, then you should take a photocopy of Aadhaar. 
  • After this, you will get an application form from the bank branch. 
  • After filling it, you will have to submit a photocopy of the Aadhaar card to the branch. After verification, your Aadhaar will be linked to your bank account. You will also get a related message on your registered mobile number.

Through SBI Yono App:

If you are a SBI customer and use the SBI Anywhere app on your smartphone, then you can very easily link Aadhaar to a bank account. Its process is: 

  • Log into SBI app with the help of login ID and password. 
  • Click the request button on the main page. 
  • After this, click on the base tab.
  • After this, click on Aadhaar linking. 
  • Now choose your CIF. 
  • After this, enter the Aadhaar number here and click on the box with the terms and conditions approved. 
  • After this, SBI will send the message of linking bank account and Aadhaar to your mobile number.
