In 2017, the central government had launched the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) for the economically weaker sections of the country. Under this scheme, beneficiaries are provided with the facility of free treatment up to five lakh rupees. The central government has announced to provide free eligibility card to the beneficiaries of this scheme.
How to Get PVC Card:
To get a PVC card under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, you have to contact the Common Service Center (CSC) or the rural operator of your village. Earlier beneficiaries had to pay a normal fee of Rs 30 to get a PVC card. Now this card will be provided free of cost to the beneficiaries of this scheme.
If you lose this PVC card, you will have to pay a normal fee of Rs 15 to get a duplicate PVC card. To get the Ayushman Bharat PVC card, you have to provide your Biometric Authentication. Only then you are provided with a PVC card.
It has been announced to provide free PVC cards to the beneficiaries of Ayushman India. The fee charged for this card will now be paid by the central government. An agreement has been reached between the National Health Authority (NHA) and the CSC centers under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Under this agreement, CSC centers will now provide PVC cards for free to the beneficiaries of Ayushman India and NHA will pay a fee of Rs 20 to CSC centers per card.
Under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, up to Rs 5 lakh treatment is provided free of cost to poor families. So far, more than 1 crore 63 lakh people have benefited from this scheme. The special thing about this scheme is that the beneficiaries of this scheme can get their treatment in private hospitals also.
