Amongst the eight options, a person can find out the nearest post office to his location, can request service and other services such as postage calculator, insurance portal, interest calculator, etc. can be accessed. Post Office, by launching such an app has helped a person to such a great level that one is able to calculate his premiums of Post Office Life Insurance or Gram Jeevan Bima till knowing the returns from Post Office investment, one can do it all easily. It is easy to even find out one’s life certificate with just one click on the mobile which one can avail by choosing any service option as per your need.
Many other additional services are available on this app such as mail booking-delivery service. An order can be tracked until delivery if you have ordered something. The tracking facility is made available on this mobile app for the following types of mail items: speed post, registered letter, insured letter, Electronic Money Order (e-MO), Express Parcel, value payable letter, insured parcel, business parcel, registered parcel, registered periodicals and many more. And believe it or not, any complex can also be tracked through this app.
Other options such as the insurance portal and Interest Calculator are available in this app. In the insurance portal of India Post, postal office employees can get insured which is beneficial for them in the future. The insurance portal was started as welfare to its employees. Interest Calculator is one of the best and safest options under post office facilities. In this, interest is calculated on invested Fixed Deposit, which will be less compared to other commercial banks but it is good to know that since it works for the government, the amount goes for the welfare of the government. A postage calculator is one such facility in the app where the app calculates the Postage (tariff) based on the weight entered by the user for items like an ordinary letter, registered letter, etc.
