The Government helps the motorist, RTO to go online soon

Technology has been giving both advantages and disadvantages. The issues of privacy and online fraud are going up day by day. And on the other hand, the governments are able to reach the commoners within a touch. One can ask for help from their close ones and the whole world has become a small village. The most utilization of the technology is being done during the pandemic.

The present pandemic has forced everyone to shift to online mode whether it is for teaching, classes, and assignments in schools and colleges or working from home, everything has become digital. Even the vaccination drive is going online without which one cannot get the required vaccination. The technology has even helped to get the required Remdesivir and Oxygen cylinders which are scant day by day.

Similarly, around 18 services of Regional Transport Office (RTO) have become online making it easier and simpler for people. This also reduces the crowd at the Regional Transport Office (RTO) office. You don’t need to go to the RTO office to get a Driving License. One can get their Driving License done through Aadhaar verification which is now made simpler. According to the recent notification from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, which states that from now onwards 18 major services of the Regional Transport Office (RTO) have been digitized.

This allows citizens to get convenient and hassle-free services without having to take mental tension in going to the office, waiting in a long queue, missing their other more important work, and then finally receiving the required document. This reduces the wastage of time, money, and effort of citizens. Major facilities like Driving License and Certificate of Registration (RC) have been digitized which is one of the good decisions taken in favor of the people. The government has asked people to link their Driving License and Registration Certificate (RC) of their car to their Aadhar. So from now on, online services can be availed through Aadhaar verification and people are now able to get many other services at home with Aadhaar-linked verification.

Those 18 services which are digitized include learning driving license, renewal of driving license (not requiring driving test), duplicate driving license, change of address in Driving License and RC of vehicles, international driving permit, surrender of vehicle category from the license, temporary vehicle registration, including application services for the registration of motor vehicles with fully built bodies.

And other such services which are also digitized are the issue of duplicate certificate of registration, application for grant of NOC for the certificate of registration, a notice of transfer of ownership of the motor vehicle, application for transfer of ownership of a motor vehicle, a registration certificate in the notice of change of address, application for registration of driver training from a recognized driver training center, application for registration of diplomatic officer’s motor vehicle, application for assignment of new registration mark of diplomatic officer’s motor vehicle, contract of hire-purchase agreement or agreement of hire-purchase termination.

If you have one Aadhaar card then it is very easy to get all major government documents done by just linking your Aadhaar with the required document like Driving License and Registration Certificate of the car being linked to the person’s Aadhaar. So it is mandatory to have an Aadhaar with correct details of yours- name, date of birth, residential address, mobile number, and email address. If you have not yet got one done, then hurry up and get it done as soon as possible because now without Aadhaar no work of your will be completed successfully, and also Aadhaar is valid all over India wherever you go.
