Marking a remarkable milestone in Bihar’s political landscape, Janata Dal (United) President Nitish Kumar was sworn in as Chief Minister for a record tenth term on November 20, at Patna’s iconic Gandhi Maidan.

The grand ceremony witnessed the induction of 18 cabinet ministers and two deputy chief ministers, solidifying the National Democratic Alliance’s renewed mandate in the state. Prominent leaders who were administered the oath included Samrat Choudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Dilip Jaiswal, and Mangal Pandey.

Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha—both senior BJP leaders—took charge as the new Deputy Chief Ministers. Nitish Kumar had earlier submitted his resignation to Governor as the current term of the Bihar Assembly was set to expire on November 22.
