As we all know WhatsApp for the past two to three months is asking its users to accept their privacy policy and finally, it has come into one final last date for accepting their privacy policy which was on May 15. As per the company’s statements, after May 15 those users who have not accepted their privacy policy their account will not be deleted but after giving repeated reminders, after a few days- by -one service will be reduced like facility for video and audio calls, etc.
Seeing to WhatsApp’s new privacy policy, many users do not want to accept it and hence most of WhatsApp has shifted to the apps like Telegram and Signal which is a substitute of WhatsApp. Due to its new policies, it has lost most of its customers. Apps like Telegram and Signal have received 1200 + gains during this time of two-three months. In between these 2- 3 apps, there is one more app called Google Chat which was previously called Hangouts.
What is Google chat? How is it capable of competing with Whatsapp, Telegram, and Signal?
Google Chat has come on the iOS platform along with other Gmail platforms on iOS such as Mail, Meets, and Rooms. By introducing Google Chat, Google has expanded its market over one more new platform and this has become one of the most popular apps on IOS. Google Chat’s icon can be seen at the bottom of the Gmail app with the rest of the other apps related to Google. According to recent reports, the Government of India has sent a notice to Whatsapp to reply regarding the privacy concerns. Also, the Union Government has warned them of strict actions if they fail to comply with the privacy.
