Gaganyaan Astronauts Will Start Training At Russia’s Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center Next Year

Gaganyaan astronauts will start training at Russia’s Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center next year. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister has said that Russia will prepare the Indian space astronauts for India’s driven Gaganyaan kept an eye on space mission. Planned for 2022, the mission expected carrying three space astronauts, who will be picked from among the test pilots in the Indian military.

Russia will help train Indian space astronauts for the Gaganyaan venture, PM Modi said during a joint press meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin after their discussions in the Far East Russian city of Vladivostok on September 4.

Roscosmos reported that Glavcosmos and the Human Space Flight Center of the Indian Space Research Organization had marked an agreement on help with the medical check-up as well as training of Indian astronauts.

Roscosmos boss Dmitry Rogozin declared on August 22 that Russian masters from the Cosmonaut Training Center would choose the first group of space astronauts in Quite a while this fall, the official Russian news organization detailed.

The Gagarin Research and Test Cosmonaut Training Center is named after Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin, the Russian cosmonaut who turned into the main human to travel into space.

Dmitry Loskutov, Head of Glavcosmos said, “The education and training of gaganauts (astronauts) at the Cosmonaut Training Centre are planned to start already next year but this largely depends on the results of the selection by health parameters and the timeframe for the Indian side to decide whom they finally select and send to Russia for training.”
