As we all are aware that the Union Government has been giving Covid vaccines for the past 3 months starting from healthcare and frontline workers, then the second group to receive vaccines were people above the age group of 60 years and persons between 45-59 years of age and starting from May 1, people above 18 years – 45 years will be receiving their vaccines. So once you have taken your first dose of vaccine, it becomes important to have proof of it, that is getting your COVID vaccination certificate which will be helpful in facilitating international travel and for many more things. So, there are two ways to acquire your covid-19 vaccination certificate online.
The first way is through the CoWin website where only certificates can be acquired and no registration for vaccination takes place. The second way is through the Arogya Setu app.
1. How to download your vaccination certificate through COWIN WEBSITE:
- Firstly, visit the website provided by the Union Government using any browser: https://selfregistration.cowin.gov.in/
- Once you visit the above website, enter your Beneficiary Reference ID and then click the Search button to download your certificate.
2. How to download your vaccination certificate through AROGYA SETU APP:
- Firstly, ensure that you have the latest version of the Arogya Setu app installed on your gadgets.
After ensuring, open the app and click on the CoWin tab in it. - Once you open the tab, you get to see various options like Vaccination Information, Vaccination (Login/Register), Vaccination Certificate, and Vaccination Dashboard. Here, click on the VACCINATION CERTIFICATE option.
- Once you click on the above option, enter your Beneficiary Reference ID and then click the SEARCH button to download your certificate.
- To note, Beneficiary Reference ID is the number you would have received while registering for the vaccination.
To keep in mind one main point is that while downloading your vaccination certificate through the Arogya Setu app, you must download through the same phone number as you had mentioned while registering. If you want to download the certificate but with a different phone number, then go get your certificate through the Cowin website. And vaccination certificates will be issued to only those who have had their one dose of vaccination done.
If you have not got your part of the vaccination done, then go get it done as soon as possible. And remember to get your vaccination certificate once you are vaccinated and circulate about getting the vaccination certificates to those who are not aware of it.
On the other hand, the stock of vaccinations has hit rock bottom, and the proposed vaccination for 18-45 years people would take a hit. In few states like Karnataka, the Chief Secretary has openly said about the lack of vaccinations for the younger generation and will be available only after June 1st. If you’re physically fit and immune to diseases, please let others take the vaccine.
Always wear a mask and do not remove it at any point of time before, during, or after vaccination. Do not think that once you get vaccinated, you are free from the virus. Though you got yourself vaccinated, always remember to wear a mask whenever you step out of your house. Follow the COVID-19 guidelines issued by the government. Remember, this too shall pass. Do not believe in messages forwarded unless proved in front of you. Getting vaccinated is essential. And one last important thing to remember is that when you go to get yourself vaccinated, remember to keep your body hydrated, do not remove your mask, maintain social distance, wear half sleeve dresses, and do not lose hope.
