How to check if you are receiving the LPG subsidy or not?

Every household in India requires an LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) connection and a cylinder every month and it is almost like a basic need where every family irrespective of gender, income status, etc. needs an LPG connection. And it is the customers’ duty to check whether they are receiving LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) subsidy in their accounts on every purchase of a cylinder.

To know about the eligibility of LPG subsidy for yourself, the criteria is that your annual income should not be Rs 10 lakh or more. Annual income includes income of both wife and husband. The income of only a single person being less than Rs 10 lakh will not be considered under that category and will not be liable to receive LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) subsidy. Therefore, those people whose annual income is less than Rs 10 lakh are liable to receive LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) subsidy and must be received in their accounts on every purchase of a cylinder.

Many won’t be knowing the procedure on how to check whether they are receiving LPG subsidies in their bank accounts or not. So, hence in this article, we will see how to find out the LPG subsidy money being received to the respective bank accounts at the right time. You can check either through your mobile phone or even through a computer/laptop. Only the primary necessity is that any device having an internet connection can be used to check for the same.

What are the steps to check that I am receiving the LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) Subsidy or not?

1. Firstly, go to the browser of either the phone or laptop and type www.mylpg.in and open it.
2. Once you open the website, you will get to see photos of the gas cylinders on which names of the companies of LPG gas providers can be seen. Click on that gas cylinder which is your regular gas provider. 
3. On clicking, a new window will be opened of your particular gas provider. At this window, on the top right corner, there will be two options of ‘Sign-in’ or ‘new user’. (If you already have an account and you are having your ID then you will have to just sign in. But if in case you are not having an ID, then tap on the ‘New user’ option and login to the website by filling out details like your 17- digit LPG ID, your state, your district, distributor, your consumer number, your phone number and lastly, enter the captcha. After all this, you will be able to login to the website. 
4. Once you log in, you can see ‘view cylinder booking history’ on the right side of the window. Click on the same.
5. Once you click on that, you will be able to see the amount of subsidy on which cylinder of yours and other information like this. 

In cases like you booking gas and receiving the gas also but you have not received your subsidy amount, then you have to click on the ‘Feedback’ button and file a complaint of not getting the subsidy amount. It is mandatory for you to link your LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) ID to your account to receive your subsidy amount for which you have to go to your distributor and get it done. There are also cases where you won’t be receiving your subsidy amount since you might have not linked your Aadhaar.
