South Korean Lovebirds Divorced: Yoon-hee gets the child custody

South Korean celebrity couple Lee Dong-gun and Jo Yoon-hee have split after 3 years of marriage, they stated due to “irreconcilable differences.” The divorce was made official on May 22nd, reported by Yoon-hee’s talent agency, King Kong by Starship, the news was reported via a media statement on Korean news site Soompi.

The agency stated,”The divorce was done through negotiation proceedings at the Seoul Family Court,” they also pleaded the fans to understand at this moment rather than to form judgements, and that Yoon-hee will still be working towards future activities. 

Dong-gun’s agency FNC Entertainment put out an apology statement for causing concern to many, they said,”Dong-gun will work harder to give a better impression as an actor.”

The two were former co-stars in the South Korean TV series “The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop” in 2017. Later, Dong-gun and Yoon-hee got married in May 2017, and held a private wedding in September. The two actors share a young daughter, whom Yoon-hee has received custody of. 

Dong-gun made his acting debut in 1998 and is known for his role in “Lovers in Paris” a romantic drama released in 2004; Yoon-hee debuted in the sitcom “Orange” in 2002.
