There is no doubt that the COVID cases are increasing daily but the number of people recovering from the same is also high. Post-COVID recovery is as important as taking treatment for COVID. People recovered from coronavirus needs to make sure that their diets are going on as planned and healthy too. Many recovered from the virus because of their willpower and their immunity.

But it is also important for them to focus on post-COVID fatigue. When a person with high immunity faces a normal fever and cold, he takes around a week to recover and get normal. Similarly in the case of a person facing COVID- 19, facing mental trauma during COVID and recovering from all such traumas and tensions and illness is a great thing in itself but people forget to take care of their health once COVID leaves their body.

Following are the step by step process to be followed:

  1. Starting from a good start of your day, before having your breakfast, remember to have soaked almonds and raisins in the beginning. It will be better if you take this at first instead of taking anything else before. Almonds are a rich source of proteins and raisins contain a good amount of iron. Having this in the morning helps you gain enough energy needed for your body to function at the start of the day itself.
  2. After this, it will be time for you to take your breakfast. Always remember never to skip your breakfast whether you are sick or healthy. Post-COVID patients are preferred to have ragi dosa or a bowl of porridge. These will be enough for your body in the morning giving you a good amount of vitamins and required nutrients. 
  3. For lunch have foods containing high in all kinds of nutrients. It is advised to take jaggery either during or in between the lunch anytime. If you don’t feel like having vegetables during lunch then you can consume a combination of jaggery and ghee with chapatis. This too gives you a good amount of required nutrients that your body needs helping in boosting your recovery process.
  4. Finally, for your dinner, it is always preferred to have light food. Do not take heavy foods during the night. You can take khichdi which is also rich in nutrients and helps in having a good night’s sleep.
  5. The above four points give you a brief of what foods you must take. Lastly, you should not forget to drink enough water. Water is essential for the efficient working of the human body system. In between, during the daytime, you can have fruit juices such as homemade lime juice and buttermilk. Such drinks help remove toxins from the body and keep you healthy. Inculcating fruits in your routine helps you recover better. 

Apart from these foods, it is advised by the experts to have strawberries, raspberries, and dry fruits like Jamun as they are rich in antioxidants, Vitamin C, manganese, folate, and copper. Remember all the above points and try as much as possible to follow the same which will surely help you in recovering and also in boosting your body from the virus.
